True Security

So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal [just brief and fleeting], but the things which are invisible are everlastingĀ and imperishable. (2 Corinthians 4:18 AMP)

REFLECTION

As 2023 wraps up, let’s look back with an awareness of God’s faithfulness and look forward with a heart to more deeply know our Maker and a willingness to do whatever we believe He is guiding us to do, knowing that we can trust the perfectly trustworthy One. If we really think about it, it makes sense to prioritise what is eternal, so that when (not if) all that is visible and temporal shifts and shakes, and our allotted time on this earth is finally up, we find ourselves truly and eternally secure in Christ, who is Lord of all, deeply knowing “…that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow [in submission], of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess and openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord (sovereign God), to the glory of God the Father.” [Philippians 2:10-11 AMP]

PRAYER POEM: Tethered to You

Lord, true security is found in You. Help me stay tethered to You in everything I go through. May You and Your Word light my way, as I seek to stay in step with You, every day, come what may.
