Listen & Learn

REFLECTION

After I’ve prayerfully pondered God’s Word, I find that something beautiful happens when I pause to listen to what the Lord is saying to my heart. It’s only when I detach from distractions and quietly lean in with an open heart that I can deeply receive what He wants to give me in that moment. I experienced that this morning and the assurance I received was exactly what I needed. Of course, there comes a time when pressing practical matters require our attention, but even then we can keep our hearts open to Him. Our merciful Maker is so very kind and He truly does know what we really need, when we need it and why. And sometimes perseverence is needed. So even if we don’t receive what we think we need, we can trust God’s infallible Word and prayerfully press on, full of praise and positivity. God is faithful.

Let’s pray Psalm 25:4-5(ESV) and trust our Maker to make us know His ways, according to His perfect process:

“Make me to know your ways, O Lord;
teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.”

PRAYER POEM

LORD, Your wonderful ways are infinitely higher, whether I’m rejoicing in rewards or find myself in a faith fortifying fire. Help me hear Your voice and stay in step with You, choice by choice.
