The words we wield carry more power than many may realise. Careless words  can cause chaos. Well timed wise words can change a person’s trajectory. The words we tell ourselves can determine how we live and inform the legacy we leave.

Whatever we focus on and think about obviously affects the words we share. And the weight of our words contain the actions that accompany them.

So let’s prayerfully ponder God’s Word every day, that we may become believers who wield words well, and boldly express and live out the truth with love.

May Psalm 19:14 be a daily prayer and reality: “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”  (I’ve written this verse out and put it above my desk as a daily reminder.)
