Acceptance

Now may the God who gives endurance and who supplies encouragement grant that you be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify and praise and honor the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, [continue to] accept and welcome one another, just as Christ has accepted and welcomed us to the glory of [our great] God. Romans 15:5-7 AMP

REFLECTION

Our caring Creator is the very source of all things truly beautiful and worthy of acceptance – unseen and seen. And only when we bring ourselves honestly to Him and prioritise knowing, loving and deeply accepting Him, can we come to know, love and deeply accept who we truly are in Christ, and really rid ourselves of any trace of a false self, and truly be our true selves, by His grace. There may be times when others don’t accept who we truly are, but instead of hiding from that reality, we need to stay close to our loving Lord (in prayer and pondering His words) and more deeply know and accept who He says we are in Him. Only our merciful Maker – who is love – can enable us to accept His love, accept and love ourselves and others, as we dwell in the light of His truth and love.
