REFLECTION

I once followed though, in faith, with a rather challenging task of preparing for and leading a scriptural meditation event at my local church. The entire experience from prayerful preparation and set up to the actual event required faith, effort and courage, and took place outside my comfort zone, as it was something new that I felt led to do with people I didn’t yet know. After I finished the assignment, I entered the waiting zone to receive and prayerfully process feedback, and while I waited I was reminded that outcomes / results / growth belongs to the Lord. So if / when we feel frustration or impatience rise up while we wait, let’s take a deep breath and turn to the Lord in honest prayer and trust Him to help us wait well for the growth that comes from Him.

PRAYER POEM

Loving Lord, You are never late. I ask that You help me wait well, all my fears quell and in Your peaceful presence dwell.

In Your name, Jesus, amen.
