Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) REFLECTION
Choices are seeds we sow.
I have a pre-teen student who has two huge issues to overcome, namely: laziness and lying. She enjoys making crafts but she hates homework, so she sometimes pretends to be a diligent student, while secretly doing what she wants and then lies about it when confronted. As one of her teachers, I have tried many forms of discipline / correction to root out this tendency in her to lie and be lazy. I’ve carefully and consistently confronted her and issued edu-consequences (for example: assigning writing tasks related to the dangers of lying etc), in the hope that she will truly repent and stop hindering her own growth (which also impacts others) and deeply understand that we reap what we sow. However, the reality is that she is clearly not receiving the fundamental loving discipline she needs at home, which obviously affects her choices. It seems hopeless at times, because for a while she seems to be improving and then something will happen and she is back being lazy and lying. But – nothing is impossible for God, so while each one of us has our own particular issues to overcome (which may seem impossible), every person can ask God for help (for ourselves and for others), and if we prayerfully persist and keep fighting the good fight of faith…then, by the grace of God and a good dose of gritty faith, we can be victorious in Jesus’ name.

LORD, nothing is impossible for You. Please help me to heed Your Word and think, say and do only that which is true and glorifies You.
