Just as each one of you has received a special gift [a spiritual talent, an ability graciously given by God], employ it in serving one another as [is appropriate for] good stewards of God’s multi-faceted grace [faithfully using the diverse, varied gifts and abilities granted to Christians by God’s unmerited favor].
REFLECTION
1 Peter 4:10 reminds us that whatever gifting we have is from our Creator. It’s His power that enables us to breathe, create and work. So there is absolutely no place for arrogance or comparison, only faith expressed with gratitude and love. Everyday issues are real and can impact our stewardship, however, the Maker of Heaven and Earth, the Maker of us all, is greater than anything we feel or need to deal with. So let’s stay close to Him, as we are, and trust Him in the unfolding process of sanctification and transformation.
PRAYER POEM: Help Us
Loving Lord ~ help us not to compare and fall into despair. Help us to stay yielded You and live out what is true. Help us not to murmur when life is messy or mundane, but give thanks in the light of Your eternal love, which will never wane.
