“…just as [in His love] He chose us in Christ [actually selected us for Himself as His own] before the foundation of the world, so that we would be holy [that is, consecrated, set apart for Him, purpose-driven] and blameless in His sight. In love…” (Ephesians 1:4 AMP)
REFLECTION
If / When we find ourselves struggling with insecurity, we – who call Jesus Christ Saviour and Lord – can take heart, knowing that God chose us in Christ and actually secured us for Himself as His own. So let’s go to Him, as we are, and pour out in prayer what is really going on in our hearts, and trust Him to help us navigate the process.

My merciful Maker, may my every messy, marvellous or mundane moment be shaped by You ~ merry or morose, may my heart stay open to the eternal words You have spoken.
