”By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, whereas the Egyptians, attempting to do so, were drowned. By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days.“

REFLECTION
This passage reminds me of the vital importance of faith. True faith is active. We can sit and sulk and say we believe, but only when we prayerfully and carefully move into what we believe God is pointing to does faith come alive in us and grow, by God’s grace. And a vital component of true faith is accepting that God’s ways are higher than ours and His timing can be completely different to ours. He is God and we are not. So even if we never see the results we want while on earth, we can trust that nothing we do in faith is wasted. Our reward is with Him and the greatest aspect of that reward is Him – being fully fulfilled in a loving relationship with the One who made us, forever. He knows what we truly need, when and why. So we can confidently trust Him and praise Him in the waiting, in the process …knowing that nothing is impossible for Him and He is true to His Word.
PRAYER POEM: True
ALMIGHTY GOD ~ there is no difficulty beyond Your ability.
You are true to Your Word, so I’ll pray and praise You every day ~ in festivity, forlornity or in the fiery fray ~ trusting that You will give me grace to do what You say.
