REFLECTION
What does living in love look like to you?
For me, I see honest prayer and pondering God’s love letter to us — The Bible — being essential to living in love. For we cannot love well unless we deeply know that we are loved. The Holy Spirit of God does what only He can do and reveals the love of God in our hearts as we prioritise our relationship with Him. And He helps us understand that the prickly people and the plethora of problems that we can’t avoid are actually gifts of love from above. Why? Because they can expose what is really going on in our hearts so that we can humbly see that only Jesus is perfect and that only He can sanctify and transform us as we give our hearts to Him. What seems impossible for us is possible for our sovereign Saviour. So let’s stay close to our living, loving Lord, mindful of His living and active words:
“If you remain [abide] in me and follow my teachings [my words abide/remain in you], you can ask anything you want, and it will be given to [be done for; come to] you.” (John 15:7 Expanded Bible)

PRAYER POEM
LORD, thank You for Your loving faithfulness and the wholeness only You can bring to all who call on You and believe that what You say is true. May the bright light of Your love infuse everything I think, say and do, as I seek to abide in You.
