“Do not those who plot evil go astray? But those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness.” (Proverbs 14:22 NIV)
REFLECTION
There is only One who is perfectly good, so it makes sense to plan what is good with the perfectly good One. If we prayerfully plan in this way, yielded and open to the Holy Spirit, then, as life unfolds, we are able to more deeply trust that He will continue to sustain, strengthen and bless us and all that we do, in His higher way and perfect timing. And, by His grace, we will find love and faithfulness.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)
PRAYER POEM
Loving Lord, I commit and consecrate myself and everything to You, including all that I have prayerfully planned to do. Keep me close to You and do what only You can do, in and through me, as I set my mind on things above and follow through in faith, hope and Your unfailing love.
