REFLECTION
Childhood wounds caused me to hide behind a voguesque veneer, which I preened in my quest for approval and validation. This led to a life lusting after luxury, until I got it and realised that it couldn’t meet the deep need in my soul. I turned away from the lie of luxury and embarked on an Asian Adventure. While teaching children in Asia, my character was refined in the confines of the classroom and I was given the opportunity to deal with my untreated childhood wounds. I found myself in the choppy waters of sanctifying adversity and clung to Christ as I rode big waves that crashed on unfamiliar turf. I emerged with a desire to dream again and create with my Creator, and a vision of people being healed, restored and transformed began to overshadow my fears and selfish ambition.
PRAYER POEM
My marvellous and merciful Maker ~ may my life continue to testify of Your transforming love. I pray to stay close to You in all that I do and continually point others to You. Come what may, I ask for grace to trust that You will continue to restore, reveal and heal in Your wonderful way as I seek to know You more each day.
