REFLECTION

Since committing my life to Christ, I’ve received revelations, what some may call epiphanies or aha moments… call it whatever you like, I just know that many times I have experienced deep inner healing and the peace that transcends all understanding (see Philippians 4:6-7) in very trying circumstances. I believe that the Holy Spirit of God met me where I was at and did what only He can do. With this came a deeper awareness of how vitally important it is to prioritise cultivating spiritual intimacy with our Maker, before going out to connect with those He made (who are dealing with their own unique set of issues). Yes – community, prayer support, fellowship and service are vital, but it all means nothing unless we intentionally seek to personally know and love the One who made us…through honest persistent prayer, consistently meditating on His Love Letter to us (the sacred scriptures) and trusting that the Holy Spirit will help us live out His Truth and bring breakthrough (from the inside out), in His higher way and perfect timing.

So, let’s hear and heed James 4:7-8 AMP:

“…submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you. Come close to God [with a contrite heart] and He will come close to you…” Read full chapter

PRAYER POEM: Call

LORD, thank You that when I feel fearful and shaken, I can call on You to awaken faith, hope and love that can only come from above.

Help me not to let sorrow induced slumber lull me asunder from the wonder.

Stir me to arise in faithfulness and reverential fear of You – the King of glory – for You alone know the end of my story.
