Genesis 9:12-13 [ESV]
And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations: I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.”
REFLECTION
God’s glorious rainbow reminds us that irrespective of what we go through, we can trust Him to be faithful and true to His Word. So, whatever comes our way, let’s intentionally and consistently give thanks to God for all He has done for us and is doing in and through us, even in the midst of mysterious and messy moments. I’ve found that intentional, from-the-heart thanksgiving (while still being aware of and prayerfully dealing with raw realities), changes me for the better, which, in turn positively impacts my spheres of influence. Hallelujah! May praise be perpetually on our lips, for our glorious God is always good, and always working all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). This is good news indeed.
PRAYER POEM: Encounter
Loving Lord Jesus ~ may gratitude be my default mode, irrespective of what I encounter on the narrow road. Close to You I stay, for You show me the right way, through the dark night and into the light of a new day.
