REFLECTION

This morning I felt ready to teach children the way they should go. And then as the day unfolded, flush with issues, I found irritation rising up within me and with it a bright red internal flag…alerting me to take deep breaths, quietly pray and stay mindful of God’s Word. As I did this, I found that I was able to help all my students, despite how I felt. Once I had completed all my lessons, I then spent time in honest prayer and asked the Lord what was really going on (beneath my feelings). And as I was quiet and let the Lord speak to my heart, I received a measure of clarity and I was comforted and encouraged. Let’s take care by staying alert and prayerful — irrespective of how we may feel — aware of the fragility of life and that we can be truly confident as we abide in Christ.

PRAYER POEM
