Prayerful Planning

I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. (John 15:5 AMP)

REFLECTION

Prayerful planning has its place, but let’s keep John 15:5 etched on our hearts as we prayerfully move forward in faith, hope and God’s unfailing love. For as The Word makes clear:

A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life],
But the Lord directs his steps and establishes them. (Proverbs 16:9 AMP)

Based on my personal experience, the unfolding process itself can be rich with priceless pearls of insight that we get to keep and share, irrespective of the outcome. Come what may, let’s keep in mind that “the things that are seen are transient but the things that are unseen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:18) The beautiful work that the Holy Spirit is doing in and through believers, in the process, has eternal value. Nothing is wasted in God’s hands.

PRAYER POEM: Fruitful

LORD, my strength, my shield, to You I yield ~ prune me, cleanse me, and make my life a fruitful field.

Bearing fruit from above, nourished by Your love, keep me tethered to You in all that I do.
