Living Proof

”We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.“

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬ ‭TPT‬‬

REFLECTION

Like many people, my emotions fluctuate, but my faith is not based on my fickle feelings. I’ve experienced  difficulties that felt insurmountable and sometimes I’ve felt so sad and weary – but the reason I am so encouraged as I write this is because regardless of how we feel, we can pray… and I am living proof of the power of prayerful persistence. Despite fluctuating feelings and all manner of adversity, I have experienced many internal and external breakthroughs, which I can directly link to answered prayer. God willing, I intend to share more details about these different encounters, events and experiences, at a later stage, when I have peace about doing so. But for now, I can truly testify that “…suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” (see Romans 5:3-5 NIV)

PRAYER POEM: My Marvellous Maker

LORD – Blessed Bondage Breaker, Conquering Creator, Marvellous Maker of me and every good thing I see.

Perfect Peace Purveyor, uproot every weed of worry and sow sacred seeds that nourish gnawing needs.

To You my whole heart I bring, surrendering as I sing: Sovereign Saviour, Exalted King!
