“It is the Lord who goes before you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” (Deuteronomy 31:8 AMP)
“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28 NASB)
REFLECTION (in the form of a poem)
Dawn brought dread as I struggled to rise from my soft, warm bed. My body felt like lead. I just wanted to pull the covers over my head. But – I prayed, stirred courage, got up and showed up to teach instead. This act of faith-over-feelings not only helped to put my wayward students on the right track, it also helped me process my own pressing issues and reminded me that God does indeed go ahead and causes all things to work together for good to those who love Him…just as He said.
PRAYER POEM: I Will Praise
Lord, I will praise You in pleasure, I will praise You in pain ~ whatever my state, I will praise Your holy name. For life may shake and shift, but Your love never wavers and Your promises remain the same.
