“Therefore, rejecting all falsity and being done now with it, let everyone express the truth with his neighbor, for we are all parts of one body and members one of another.” (Ephesians 4:25 AMPC)
REFLECTION
Let’s first and foremost pray honest prayers and be really real with the One who made us, for in 1 John 1:9 (ESV) we are given a glorious promise: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Let’s prayerfully ponder His Word so that we can confidently confront lies with His truth and experience true freedom in every aspect of our lives. For we are reminded in John 8:23 (NIV) that “…you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Let’s ask our caring Creator to help us know Him, His Word and ways more deeply, so that truth flows from deep within us and overflows to those around us, as we live and move forward in faith, hope and His compassionate love.
PRAYER POEM: Day by Day
Lord Jesus, You are our Living Hope. Day by day – irrespective of what some may say – it’s only by Your grace that we can cope. May we honour You in all that we think, say and do, as we follow You into all that is true.
Fortify our faith in the fiery fray as we learn Your language of love, day by day.
Help us humbly help others, seeing each other as beloved sisters and brothers.
Stir us to pray and praise You, every day, come what may, for You are our marvellous Maker and we can trust Your higher way.
