“…At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” (Isaiah 60:22 NLT)
REFLECTION
I have a thing about punctuality. By the grace of God, I’ve worked at the same education centre for more than five years and I haven’t been late for one scheduled lesson to date. So, when something doesn’t happen when I think it should, I can get rather rattled and I require regular reminders that while there is nothing wrong with being punctual (for the Bible is clear about making the best use of the time – see Ephesians 5:15-16), God’s ways are higher and His divine timing is always perfect. So, we can trust His response to all our efforts done in faith. And I’ve found that when I pray instead of panic, I’m able to be more attentive and learn as I lean into what’s actually happening, as opposed to feeling frustrated because it looks very different to what I had expected.
PRAYER POEM
Faithful Father ~ I pray for grace to live life at Your pace, aware that You care and know exactly what I really require, for Your ways are divine and infinitely higher than mine.
