“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5:1-2 NIV)
REFLECTION
Boasting has its proper place. The sacred scriptures remind us to boast in the hope of the glory of God. In the mundane, messy and marvellous moments we have an eternal reason to hope and give thanks as we fix our focus on our Lord Jesus Christ, our Living Hope. So let’s stay prayerful and ponder the living and active Word of God, which ushers in the kind of transcendent peace that only God can give, as we navigate everyday reality and make our way to our heavenly home.
PRAYER POEM
Lord Jesus Christ ~ there is none like You, for only You can give us divine access into all that is eternally good and true. So please keep the eyes of my heart fixed on You, irrespective of how I may feel or what I go through.
