  • Genesis 2:7 The same essential chemical elements are found in man and animal life that are in the soil. This scientific fact was not known to man until recent times, but God was displaying it here.

REFLECTION

As we move forward, let’s stay mindful that we are created beings. We did not make ourselves. Our caring Creator breathed life into us for a purpose that has no place for pride or comparison. The breath of life is a glorious gift of grace from the One who made us and loves us. He also gave us something to celebrate, which comes with a sobering reality : free will.

“For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 AMP)

We know not the day when we will draw our last breath. So while we have breath in these temporal bodies, let’s draw near to God, trusting Him to draw near to us, as He promises in James 4:8. And as we seek to stay close to Him, in everything, we can trust that He will guide us and prepare us for eternal life, step by step, breath by breath.

PRAYER POEM

Our marvellous and merciful Maker, we breathe by Your amazing grace. Help me stay close to You, every moment of every day, come what may. Enlighten me to live life prayerfully at Your pace, until that glorious day when I see You face to face in that perfect place.
