Holistic Health

But test all things carefully [so you can recognize what is good]. Hold firmly to that which is good. Abstain from every form of evil [withdraw and keep away from it].

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [that is, separate you from profane and vulgar things, make you pure and whole and undamaged—consecrated to Him—set apart for His purpose]; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept complete and [be found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. [1 Thessalonians 5:21-23 AMP]

REFLECTION

As the first quarter of 2024 unfolds, I am prayerfully working on new and improved daily rhythms. I’ve been testing, trying, tweaking and trying again, and I’m more keenly aware than ever of the importance of holistic health. So, I’m continually prayerfully reviewing my lifestyle to see how I can become healthier spiritually, mentally, emotionally, relationally, occupationally, financially and physically. I am fully convinced that our spiritual health profoundly impacts every other aspect of our lives. So, spiritual health is my top priority: seeking to know and love God and His Word more deeply, trusting Him to give me the grace and guidance I need in every other area of my life, that I may experience true holistic health and glorify Him – The Giver of life itself.

PRAYER POEM: More

Lord, as I step out in faith ~ into the whipping wind ~ on the water where feet falter, cause me to see beyond the surging sea and show me how to know and love You more deeply, and rely on You more than mere money. And as we build and bless in the promised land, may I never forget that every good thing comes from Your holy hand.
