Be Kind

“Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor [perpetual animosity, resentment, strife, fault-finding] and slander be put away from you, along with every kind of malice [all spitefulness, verbal abuse, malevolence]. Be kind and helpful to one another, tender-hearted [compassionate, understanding], forgiving one another [readily and freely], just as God in Christ also forgave you.” (Ephesians‬ ‭4:31-32‬ ‭AMP‬‬)

REFLECTION

Being kind doesn’t mean being blind to issues, but we can confront problems in a caring and kind way. We are all works in progress, so let’s be kind to ourselves and others, trusting our merciful Maker through it all. While we are pilgrims on this planet, pain (including the impact of unkindness) is part of the process, but we can seek and experience deeper spiritual intimacy with God as we prayerfully work through issues in the light of His Word. And, in turn, we are enabled to extend kindness to those around us – even in the swirl of unkindness – as we become more secure in His loving-kindness.

PRAYER POEM: Transform

Loving Lord ~ You can transform what is broken and bitter into something sanctified and sweet, void of clamour and conceit.

May I meet Your precious people with words of wisdom and kindness, lit from above and infused with Your love.
