The Truly Trustworthy One

Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. James 1:2-3 AMP

REFLECTION

Today’s passage reminds us that our faith journey is not always easy. The process doesn’t always feel good, but we can truly trust the perfectly trustworthy One. The One who made us, loves us and came to save us, is always gloriously good and promises (in Romans 8:28) that all things work together for the good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. We know in part, but our Maker alone knows the depth of our difficulty. So let’s seek to more deeply know and trust Him, as we prayerfully ponder His promises and press on, with thanksgiving, trusting His higher way and perfect timing.

PRAYER POEM: Restore

Lord ~ when I feel weak and weary, fuel my faith and help me see clearly.

Restore the joy of Your salvation and strengthen me to persevere and Your name revere.
