The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” (Luke 17:5 ESV)
REFLECTION
I pray that as our trust in our Creator deepens, we become bold believers of enduring faith, pointing others to the author and finisher of our faith, Jesus Christ, for “…there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among people by which we must be saved [for God has provided the world no alternative for salvation].” Acts 4:12 (AMP)
It’s far easier to write about this than it is to live out, but we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). And the words I’ve written, in faith, are stirring within me a desire to more deeply trust my Maker…and I hope it’s doing the same for you, because when all that glitters in this world finally fades, all that will be left is that which is eternal. So, as we prayerfully move forward in faith, let’s stay mindful that our time on earth is essentially preparation for eternity, and let’s aim to live and love with an eternal perspective.
PRAYER POEM: You Alone Know
Lord, when all that can be shaken is shaken, may I truly awaken.
Let not sorrow induced slumber lull me asunder from the wonder.
Help me fully yield to You – the King of glory – for You alone know the end of my story.
