Eternal Fruit

“Commit your works to the Lord [submit and trust them to Him],

And your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance].” (Proverbs 16:3 AMP)

REFLECTION

How would you define success?

If we want to succeed in ways that line up with God’s Word, and bear eternal fruit, then we need to prioritise spiritual intimacy with Christ, who said:

“If you remain in Me and My words remain in you [that is, if we are vitally united and My message lives in your heart], ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified and honored by this, when you bear much fruit, and prove yourselves to be My [true] disciples.” (John 15:7-8 AMP)

With that being clear, I find that it’s helpful to prayerfully think about and articulate / write down goals / plans. And as we stay prayerful and move forward mindful of God’s Word, we can trust that He will lovingly guide / correct us.

PRAYER POEM

Sovereign Lord, only You know in full, while we know in part. So to You I give my heart. May all that I do bear eternal fruit and glorify You.
