“What do you know about tomorrow? How can you be so sure about your life? It is nothing more than mist that appears for only a little while before it disappears. You should say, “If the Lord lets us live, we will do these things.” (James 4:14-15 CEV)
REFLECTION
The air we breathe, the fresh food we eat, every sunrise and sunset, the blessings that abound and anything good that can be found are all glorious gifts of grace from the One who made us, loves us and knows what we truly need, when and why. So, while prayerful planning has its place and there is much good work to be done, let’s stay mindful that only the Lord knows what tomorrow holds. So let’s prioritise our relationship with our marvellous and merciful Maker, as we move forward in faith, hope and His unfailing love.
PRAYER POEM
Loving Lord Jesus, I give You my heart to hold and my soul to mould. Keep me close to You as my faith is tested like gold. Only You know what tomorrow will bring, for You alone are our sovereign King. I pray to stay in sync with You, every day, come what may, until I see You face to face in that perfect, glorious place of grace.
