REFLECTION

When I’m with certain people in my spheres of influence, I find myself overflowing with affection… and then there are others who either inadvertently trigger a painful memory or leave me feeling less than loving. Feelings tend to fluctuate, but I’ve found that when I prayerfully and intentionally shift my focus from myself to the needs in front of me, and seek to do things for the benefit of those I’m interacting with, I enter into a kind of enlightening love loop. And I invariably become part of the benefit and experience a deeper appreciation of what grace laced love is really all about.

Irrespective of how we may feel, let’s stay close to the One who is love (see 1 John 4:16) and trust Him to help us learn how to love in ways that will echo into eternity.

PRAYER POEM

Loving Lord, I pray to stay in sync with You, regardless of how I may feel or what we go through. May Your love infuse every choice, as You train me to hear and heed Your voice.
