REFLECTION

The opposite of being cowardly is being courageous. One definition of courage is: not deterred by danger or pain; brave.(ref: languages.oup.com) Bravery can take many forms and doesn’t necessarily mean fearful feelings aren’t involved…it’s an act of will, despite fluctuating feelings.

Of course, wisdom is required, as there are times when it would be foolish to charge forth and do something that would be destructive. I’ve certainly learnt that the hard way. But, when we truly believe that God is guiding us to do something that requires courage and focused, face-like-flint kind of faith…well, then it would be foolish not to charge forth, with the One who gives us “power, love and self-control” (2 Tim 1:7 CEV) and “causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” (Romans 8:28 NLT)

PRAYER POEM

Loving Lord, You are my strength and shield as I sow in faith with a vision of a harvest field. As I abide in You, help me follow through with what You lead me to do. And as I work with You and Yours, keep us connected and deeply grateful, for You are forever faithful.
