REFLECTION

Romans 8:28 is one of my go-to verses because there have been countless times when I’ve experienced our marvellous and merciful Maker clearly taking bits and pieces of my life and “orchestrate everything to work toward something good and beautiful …”

For example:

Last night I attended a church gathering, and during the break I considered leaving because it was getting late and I didn’t know anyone there very well (except for the speaker), but I decided to stay until the end, as that is what I had committed to do. And I’m so glad I stayed, because after the break we formed small groups and I found myself sitting next to a woman I met in 2019. She was such a blessing to me then, and that blessing was amplified last night as we shared, laughed and connected with others in our group. And when everything had wrapped up, I hugged the speaker and I left the gathering brimming with faith, hope and love. Oh, what a wonderful reminder it was to stay close to our loving Lord and confidently follow through in faith with what we sense Him leading us to do.
