“He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” (Ephesians 4:16 NLT)
REFLECTION
Comparison robs us and others of due delight. When we compare ourselves, our gifting, our very lives to someone else’s shiny surface, it never leads to anything good. As soon as we start doing that, let’s cancel comparison and instead turn to God and ask Him for His perspective, and cultivate gratitude for what He has given and gives us. Each one of us has been entrusted with something and as we prayerfully tend to that — instead of comparing it to what someone else has — it will grow and bear good fruit that will bless us, benefit others and glorify God.
PRAYER POEM
LORD, thank You for all that You entrust to me. I can do nothing apart from You, so please lead me and teach me Your way, every moment of every day. Help me not to compare but to take care and cultivate what You give me, and glorify You in victory.
