“Rejoice always and delight in your faith; be unceasing and persistent in prayer; in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 AMP)

REFLECTION

When we have more to do than we have time (and / or energy), we can be tempted to either do nothing or go into rush mode and neglect important details, like guarding our heart with gratitude to God, which impacts our relationships and what we decide to do (or don’t do). So, let’s stay prayerfully thankful in the thick of things (and at all times), for we can trust that as we fix our focus on Jesus — the author and perfector of our faith — and cultivate gratitude (which affects our attitude), He will help us in every way, including the way we do things and interact with the precious people around us.

“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24 ESV)

PRAYER POEM

LORD, I am so grateful for all that You are and all that You do. Help me to stay close to You as the day unfolds, knowing that it’s You who holds it all in Your loving hands, and fully understands. I pray to stay prayerful and thankful in all that I say and do, with the eyes of my heart fixed on You.
