“Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:14-16 ESV)
REFLECTIONÂ
What a comfort it is that we can always turn to the Lord and pray — wherever we are, regardless of what we are facing. And, considering how fallible we all are, we are all in constant need of Him. We just may forget sometimes. Temptations are a reality in success and failure. We need to stay close to the only One who can keep us on the track of truth. So let’s go, and keep going, to the throne of grace, as we are, and receive what only He can give.
PRAYER POEM
LORD, thank You that I can always turn to You, regardless of how I feel or what I’m going through. Please help me to stay close to You, at all times, whether I’m feeling fabulous and full of faith or I’m in the refining fire, for Your way is always higher.
