What is secure in your life?

REFLECTION

There is a lot I don’t know, but there are some things I know for sure, one being that Jesus Christ is “…the way and the truth and the life…” (John 14:6 NIV)Read full chapter

Another thing I know is that nothing or no one in this fallen world is perfect and secure, and so it wouldn’t be wise to seek security in imperfect humanity or anything we make.

Collins dictionary defines security as: 1. the state of being or feeling secure; freedom from fear, anxiety, danger, doubt, etc.; state or sense of safety or certainty. 2. something that gives or assures safety, tranquillity, certainty, etc.; protection; safeguard.

Only our perfectly wise and loving Maker is omniscient (all-knowing) and only He knows the days allotted to each precious person and what the next moment, tomorrow and eternity holds. So, it would be wise to fix our focus on Him, prayerfully deal with realities with Him and seek security in Him.

PRAYER POEM

LORD…hallelujah I sing, for You alone know what the next moment will bring. As I draw near, drive out all fear and help me obey You without delay, every moment of every day.
