“Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.” (Proverbs 13:20 ESV)
REFLECTION
In my life to date, I have walked with fools and I’ve walked with the wise…and I can testify that the former caused harm and doing the latter made me wiser. So, having learnt the truth (of Proverbs 13:20 ESV) experientially, I’m now very prayerful and careful about who I journey through life with. I keep the wise ones close and, while I don’t cultivate close relationships with fools, I do try to point them to the only perfect One, Jesus, as I’m given opportunity. Let’s prioritise our relationship with our perfectly wise Maker and ask Him to give us divine wisdom to make wise choices and discern who to walk with while we head toward Heaven.
PRAYER POEM
LORD, You alone are perfect in every way. Grant me wisdom every day, that I may please You in all that I do and point others to You.
